The Artist Mindset MakeoverSýnishorn
If I’ve heard it once, I’ve heard it a thousand times: "Matt, I just don’t know what God’s plan is for my life." And underneath that frustration is the belief that they really can't know God's plan. Maybe you've felt that way, too.
My friend, God’s not trying to hide from you! It’s His good pleasure to give you the Kingdom (Luke 12:32). The resistance you feel may simply be the frustration of the enemy and the fruit of untruth you’ve believed about how the Kingdom works. It could also be the rush of excitement and adventure that comes with a little bit of nervousness, not knowing exactly how each step will happen in your life.
It might also be your nervousness because you think, “surely doing what I love to do isn’t what God’s designed me for.” But here’s the beautiful thing: it probably is! The very thing that makes you unique, the thing your heart burns for, is more than likely a big clue, revealing God’s design for your life.
Remember, the Bible says, “It’s the Glory of God to conceal a matter, the glory of kings to search it out.” God’s with you every step of the way on this journey of discovery! You can rejoice in the fact that God has a plan for your life and wants to guide you into it.
What lies have you believed about your ability to hear, understand and pursue God’s plan for your life? Ask God to show you His truth and then create a Biblically-based affirmation to support that new truth.
As an easy way to remember this process, use these 5 R's: Recognize, Repent, Replace, Reinforce, Rejoice. Here's how they work: Every time the enemy comes at you with the lies from the past, simply recognize it and repent if you've walked in agreement with the lie in your life. Then, intentionally replace it with the truth of God’s Word, and reinforce that truth over and over. Lastly, rejoice daily in the new reality that is yours in the Kingdom of God through your renewed mind, empowered by the Holy Spirit. Over time, your normal response will begin to align with God’s best for your life.
Read these scriptures in today's devotional and let them sink in to establish a new normal for you regarding knowing God’s plan for your life.
