We Pray

DAY 13 OF 28

Prayer Needs Trust To Come First

Abraham negotiated with God for Sodom. If God found fifty righteous in the city of Sodom, He would spare the whole city. He started to bargain from fifty, to forty-five, to forty, to thirty, to twenty, and finally to ten. God stopped there. Abraham did not go further. In the scripture, there is no explanation why Abraham did not pursue further, but we believe that he knows God is God and he fully trusts in God. He knows God is a just and merciful God. God did not disappoint Abraham. God remembered Abraham. He saved Lot and his family and the city of Zoar because Lot moved to there (Genesis 19:21-22).

Prayer: Father Lord, your way is higher than our way. Your love is higher than our love. When we come to you and pray, help us to see and understand things from your perspective, and also help us to trust in you completely. In Christ all things are possible. Amen.

About this Plan

We Pray

Moses prayed and pleaded with God in the wilderness to preserve his own name and character and not destroy Israel. As leaders, we must learn prayer covering and intercession for God's people. This 28-day reading plan will inspire you as you pray and intercede for others so that they truly have a revelation of God’s love.
