Dumping the Garbage in Your LifeSýnishorn
Toxic trash in our lives can manifest itself in many forms. It mainly shows up when our hurt and pain is allowed to fester. As with any wound that is left untreated, bacteria and pus will begin to accumulate. The deeper the wound, the more damaging it is when left unaddressed. And the bacteria in our soul produces things like bitterness, hate, rage, judgment, blame, low self-worth, apathy, anger and more. This bacteria takes our hurts and turns them into sins which do even greater damage than the original hurt.
That’s why it is so important to seek healing for your hurt and hope for your heart. One of Satan’s most effective strategies is tempting us to sin through the weakness we face when we are hurt and suffering. So, don’t give the devil an opportunity to invade your hurt. Let go of the hurt; don’t nurse your pain.
Dump your emotional garbage at the feet of Jesus, and let Him do the healing that needs to be done.
What emotional wounds have you allowed to fester? How can you let God heal them?
