Leading Through ChangeSýnishorn
You were designed on purpose.
God designed you to be a person of purpose—to boldly pursue causes for which you would even exchange your life. This kind of deep, abiding purpose produces in us a powerful vision for what God is calling us to do. This kind of visionary living is a cornerstone in the life of a transformational leader.
As a leader, you understand that at the core, you are a change agent. A central aspect of transformational leadership is that your activities should focus on bringing significant change. Jesus exemplified this reality. As the ultimate change agent, Jesus established early in His ministry that He would bring about meaningful and significant change. Don't believe me? Just look at the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5.
But you know that leading change is rarely easy. Whether you seek to lead change in an organization, business, ministry, or simply within yourself, bringing about lasting, meaningful change is hard. But, thankfully, there is a path forward.
APPLICATION/ REFLECTION:
As you look at the early Church over the next few days, you will discover many moments where change was introduced to the Church and how the Apostles led change as the Church grew. As you reflect on your role as a change agent, consider the following:
- What is God calling you to change in yourself?
- What is one thing you can do to initiate that change in yourself?
