Whose Am I? Part 2

DAY 4 OF 5

A Glorious Declaration

God the Father does not condemn His Son Jesus,  therefore neither are those who are n Christ, condemned.

Paul’s logic is simple and clear. He says, if we are one with Jesus and He is our head, then we can’t be condemned. You can not acquit the head and condemn the hand, you can’t drown the foot when the head is out of water. Christ is in believers by His Spirit and believers are in Christ by faith (Poole). On the flip side, as Spurgeon says, if you are not in Christ Jesus, and are walking after the flesh, you have not escaped from condemnation.

The verdict is no condemnation, not less condemnation. Our standing does not improve over time but is completely transformed to no condemnation, once and for all when we choose Christ as our Saviour and Lord.  We receive this standing though we certainly deserve condemnation because Jesus bore the condemnation we deserved and our identity is now in Him. As He is condemned no more, neither are we.

What a glorious declaration from the courtroom of God!

Are you living in the freedom of this truth? Is there someone who needs to be reminded of this truth by you?

Lord help me never lose the wonder of this glorious declaration, I pray.

About this Plan

Whose Am I? Part 2

Every family has its unique traits and traditions. Though we don’t get to choose our human families, we have the privilege of being chosen and adopted by our Heavenly Father to be part of His divine family. Explore what the Bible says about being part of God’s family through this five-day plan from Find Rest My Soul by Preethi Alice Jacob.
