12 Benefits to Reading the Bible

DAY 2 OF 3

Finding True Freedom

In today’s world, we have so much bad news coming at us 24/7. But that news is not always true! God’s Word is always true. It takes spiritual effort to keep His Word prominent in your mind so you can be truly free. Here are some more ways the Bible benefits you and keeps you free from the trauma of this world:

5. Proverbs 4:20 – It helps you think right. We humans can’t think right by ourselves, especially with all the bad news we’re filtering in every day. To do what God says to do and live His kind of life, we have to spend time thinking about what He’s said.

6. John 8:31-32 and John 17:17 – The Word is truth and truth sets you free. If you’re in any kind of bondage (to fear, worry, habits, bad temper, addiction, disease, etc). you can be free.

7. Proverbs 4:20-22 – It will heal your body. It is medicine to your flesh! The world may say there’s no cure for what you have, but God knows exactly how to heal you. That is true freedom.

8. Jeremiah 29:11 – It will help you to follow God’s plan for your life. If you’re not following His plans, whose plans are you following? If you’re not reading His voice, you aren’t familiar enough with it to hear it  when you need to. To be used by God, to follow His plan, you have to be able to hear His voice.

It’s so important to read the Bible every day to stay free!
