Navigating Pregnancy Loss & Trying to Conceive: A 5-Day PlanSýnishorn
Sweet friend, I cannot predict how this chapter of your story will end, but I am praying wholeheartedly that it wraps up with you joyfully leaving the hospital with your baby. I hope the success stories of the ones who have gone before you are a source of hope rather than cause for envy or despair. I’m praying that your morning comes sooner rather than later and that it looks and sounds like the wail of a healthy newborn baby.
But even if your prayers for this baby aren’t answered in the way you desire, this pregnancy will have been worth it. Because your baby’s life matters, as does your love for your precious little one. Even if you find yourself carrying the grief of another loss, we know that it’s temporary—miserable, unwelcome, and devastating, but temporary.
Because the things of this world, including the pain, aren’t going to last forever. God promises to restore every broken thing, including your motherhood. And I hope that no matter what happens, you can find the courage to believe that.
Prayer
Lord, I thank you for the promise that pure joy is on the horizon—that one day all the heartache of this earth will vanish—for one day I will hold all of my babies in heaven. I trust you to restore my motherhood, and I trust you to hold my baby close, whether in heaven or on earth. Amen.
