The Garden of Your Mind

DAY 2 OF 10

I feel there is a new and exciting awakening in the Christian world. We are acknowledging a more holistic approach as to how we see and care for ourselves. We are body, soul, and spirit and they are each uniquely created by God to be highly interconnected.

It has been a continual revelation for me to understand how God created us to be so holistically integrated and the dynamic of communication that occurs between our body, soul, and spirit.

And our mind is central in this communication process because it plays a crucial role in steering the direction of our lives.

I love what Craig Groeschel writes:

Your life is always moving in the direction of your strongest thoughts [Winning the War in Your Mind]

The truth is this: if your thoughts are predominately defeated and insecure, you will journey your life in a negative direction. If your thoughts are predominantly spirit controlled and life-giving, you will journey your life in a positive direction.

Which is why Scripture is so clear about renewing the way that we think and teaching us to grow a spirit controlled mind. When we read Philippians 4, there is a call on us: To make sure that our thoughts are fixed on what is authentic, honourable, lovely and respectful, excellent, and worthy of praise. Uprooting negative thoughts and replacing them with God’s truth, is the heart of renewing our minds, and is essential if we want to guard our minds and hearts with God’s peace.

When Romans 12 talks about offering up our body as a living sacrifice, I see that as referring to my mind also. You are called to surrender your mind and it's thoughts on the altar before God so you and He together, can recreate something radically beautiful which honours Him. And empowers you.

About this Plan

The Garden of Your Mind

What makes a mind beautiful? We can all feel captive to defeated, insecure, fearful thoughts. But when we choose to renew the landscape of our mind with the truth of our identity in Christ, we find the Holy Spirit empowers us with new hope and authority which will revolutionise our lives and break enemy lies. This plan by Beautiful Minds is for women who seek that new place of freedom.
