Real Hope: God the Provider

DAY 3 OF 5

There Is No God Like Our God

We are not short of ‘gods’ to worship in this day and age. Whether you’re drawn to the god of consumerism, conceit, Buddha, the New Age movement, or Jesus – every single one of them is at your fingertips, and there are a plethora of resources to feed your predilections and guide you on your spiritual way.

There’s one though who really shouldn’t be bundled in with the rest, and that’s Jesus.

When we’re looking for a god to serve, we’re looking for someone to meet our need for guidance, peace, and spiritual meaning. We’re looking for someone to fill the void of love in our lives and give us a complete sense of purpose.

For anyone on the search outside of Christ, there comes a point where you realise nothing and no one can provide those things in the way He does.

The other gods all have limitations based on their own futility or our ability to perfect the practice and a peace that’s both temporal and temperamental.

As we read in Exodus, there is no god like our God. None have the inherent power to act as He does, none have an everlasting resource of peace and guidance emanating from their very character, and none offer the tangibly felt realisation of the eternal love of our Saviour.

When choosing which god you will serve, why not consider the only one who can faithfully provide all you need?

About this Plan

Real Hope: God the Provider

God is always with us and always working in our situations, even when we can't see it. This devotional study looks at how God was at work in the lives of the Israelites so that you can see how God the Provider has been and still is at work in your own life.
