Persevere With PowerSýnishorn
Catch Your Breath!
If you have been pushing your spiritual plow for a long time, then it is natural for you to grow weary. You keep doing the same things day after day, and even though others depend on you, they might not show their support or appreciation. You may be pulled from one plow to another. You may begin to feel overlooked and taken for granted—or worse, used and exploited.
Eventually, the weight of your plow becomes heavier and more unwieldy. Your tired body rebels. You persevere but you are beginning to lose perspective, allowing anger or frustration to overwhelm you. Perhaps you feel stuck in place, on a treadmill of plowing, plowing, plowing with no end in sight.
If this describes your experience as a plow-pusher, then take a moment to catch your breath, my faithful friend. While pushing our plows may never seem as easy or light as we may wish, Jesus made it clear that we are to follow His example and rest in the spiritual peace of the Holy Spirit.
Here is a truth that I encourage you to keep front and center: No matter how you feel or who oversees the ground you plow, you must know that your heavenly Father sees you and values you. Your Creator designed you for a special and specific purpose. Take heart and remain patient.
God has not forgotten you and will never abandon you.
Keep to your plow, doing your best to put your feelings aside in order to hold fast to your commitment. You will soon receive on your shoulders the mantle of new challenges, new goals, new resources.
Get ready for a holy deposit of God’s grace and power that will enable you to magnify the name of Jesus as you have never magnified it before!
Questions to Ponder: What are some ways you can see God sustaining you as you plow your rocky soil? What mantle of promotion might He be preparing for you? What makes you think so?
