PRAY4JAPAN - 17 Day Prayer Guide for Japan

DAY 9 OF 17

Holy Spirit

Japan is a society that is highly focused on external success and performance. Many Japanese believers live under the same burden and struggle with self-effort in following Christ.

Let's agree for Japanese followers of Christ to surrender self-effort and walk more fully in the power and liberty of the Holy Spirit.

WORSHIP - Praise to the God who has always been!

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. John 1:1-3 (NASB1995)

Lord Jesus, You are the living Word and have existed from the beginning. Through You all things were made; we worship You!

DECLARE - We shout about our freedom in Christ!

Through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:2 (NIV)

We declare that through Christ Jesus, the law of the Spirit of life has set Japanese believers free from the law of sin and death. They are free to live and walk by the Holy Spirit!

PRAY - May believers come to comprehend the unconditional love of God.

... that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19 (ESV)

Father, we pray that Japanese believers, being rooted and established in love, may have power to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that they may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

About this Plan

PRAY4JAPAN - 17 Day Prayer Guide for Japan

Japan is the world’s second largest unreached people group even after decades of dedicated evangelism and church presence. In this highly sophisticated society most Japanese see Christianity as nice but irrelevant. Church attendance hovers around 0.3%. Let’s agree with the Word of God as we worship, declare and pray for breakthrough in this beautiful nation.
