Epic FailsSýnishorn
Lying. Murder. Sexual Immorality. Disobedience. These are but a few of the sins committed by the Bible's prominent pillars. They were people who made epic failures in their moments of weakness, yet they are also people God redeemed and used in powerful ways to build His Kingdom.
That's what this reading plan is all about; exploring mighty men and women of God who had some epic fails along the way. However, their stories didn’t end when their failure happened. Instead, they were redeemed, grew through the trials, and were used in incredible ways. In fact, God still chose to use them for His purpose.
I love how The Message puts Colossians 1:13-14,
“God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He’s set us up in the kingdom of the Son he loves so much, the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating.”
You are not doomed to repeat the past. God loves you so much that he will rescue you from the alleys and dungeons and bring you into the light for His purposes. The stories of these men and women show us just that!
My prayer is that this plan is an encouragement to you in your own faith journey; to know that no matter what you’ve done in the past, God still has a purpose for us.
