Ten Qualities of a Kingdom Business OwnerSýnishorn
Quality #8
Leave margin in your schedule.
Over all my years, I’ve discovered that stacking meetings on top of meetings is not the way I want to live my life. I certainly want my life to make a difference and have an impact, but living the stressful life of bell to bell meetings isn’t how I envisioned this happening. Adding margin in my life wasn’t going to be easy or convenient. Serving, helping, and touching others is never easy and rarely convenient. The first thing I did was cut the number of meetings in my schedule in half. Next, I wanted to leave time for God to set up some divine appointments. I define divine appointments where God’s divinity reaches down and intersects with my humanity. With less meetings every day, I can arrive thirty minutes early or stay late for thirty minutes to an hour. If God wants to send someone by for some strengthening, encouragement, or comfort, I desperately want to be available for that! Today, I live for divine appointments! I have proven faithful when He brings them, so He keeps on bringing them. Nothing in life is more important than leaving margin for God to add in a meeting or a divine appointment.
Do you have margin in your life? Have you ever experienced a true divine appointment? Make a decision today to meet less, so God can fill the gaps with His divine appointments! Nothing is more rewarding or more productive. Kingdom business owners learn to follow the Holy Spirit’s leading over their schedules!
About this Plan
"I’ve had the privilege of walking through numerous businesses over the past thirty-five years as a corporate chaplain.
