Making Decisions

DAY 4 OF 5

Seek the Lord

The Philistines had just raided the camp of Israel and David was informed of their activities. When the news got to him, as a man of war, he could have gathered his men and gone after the Philistines but he didn’t. Rather, he enquired of the Lord (1 Samuel 23:1-5).

Hearing from God and obeying his instructions cannot be overemphasized. Many times, we do not enquire of God when we make our decisions and that may be one of the reasons why we do not get things right. David understood this and the results are evident in his life as he won almost all of his battles.

Did you seek God before starting that business or relationship? Is He the one you run to when you've made a wrong decision and you need Him to rewrite the story? Do you want to eliminate regrets in your life? Then seek the Lord in all your ways, and He will direct your path.

Food for thought: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.

About this Plan

Making Decisions

Our lives are summaries of our decisions, whether good or bad. Good decisions can propel us and bad decisions affect us. The consequences of our decisions are beyond us, oftentimes affecting loved ones. This plan focuses on building the right connections, trusting God for guidance, and bouncing back from wrong decisions.
