Heavenly Father,

I want to bring the sin of gossip to your feet. This is an affliction that plagues women. Those who have been gossiped about know that words can destroy and tear down. That they can hurt and humiliate. I pray for my sisters, that their tongues be guarded and their words carefully selected. I pray they speak words of encouragement, that build others up and bring light. I pray they’re filled with wise counsel and their words are helpful to their husbands, children, and community. I pray they ask forgiveness for hurtful words that have already been spoken.
