Real Hope: Social Responsibility

DAY 5 OF 5

An Expression Of Faith

The early Christians seemed to have a better understanding than me of how faith could be worked out to bring practical benefits to the whole of their community and society. I have to thank other people of faith in my own church and beyond who have helped me to understand the personal social responsibility I have as a Christian.

I have a number of friends whose faith in God awakened a passion to care for creation. This passion led them to learn about environmental concerns and what we can all do to save our planet. They’ve helped me find ways I can help too, like starting my own worm farm and choosing the right plants for my garden, and working towards using renewable energy sources and more.

These friends have remained open to the concept that social responsibly is best achieved together, collaborating by keeping our hearts open to God and each other so we can work together in a way that becomes increasingly productive and effective.

I still have a long way to go as I learn about the many areas of life where God invites me to join in His vision for society. I’m thankful to be engaging in an increasing level of social responsibility as a real expression of my faith as something we can all explore.

About this Plan

Real Hope: Social Responsibility

Social responsibility is spoken about throughout the Bible - it reflects a heart that looks out for the orphaned, widowed, broken and lost. This heart of social responsibility is something that as Christians called to make disciples we need to be actively engaged in. This plan aims to explore that in more depth.
