Life On Mission

DAY 12 OF 30

This is your reality and mine. We have been chosen by God and we have a mission. Our mission is to proclaim how excellent our God is. This news is of vital importance to those that are hurting and broken.

I vividly remember toeing the line on the basketball court as team captains picked teams, maybe the most traumatic experience of my adolescence. The feeling to be chosen last was terrifying, the pressure, the fear, the anxiety. It wasn’t that I wanted to necessarily be on the winning team, but I just wanted to get chosen!

God, the supreme team captain has chosen you! Go ahead and take a sigh of relief. He has chosen you and he has equipped you to do good works. It’s time to take that step onto the court and experience the abundant life that God has for you.

Do something for someone who can’t do something for you. Help someone that is in a desperate place. Maybe they need a meal, clothes, help at their house or a good conversation. Be a blessing to someone. Spending $10 on someone might yield eternal rewards and be the best investment you’ve ever made.

Pray that God will fill you with gratitude and thankfulness for his hand on your life. Celebrate how God has intervened and placed people along the journey. Make the most of every opportunity to bring peace to people.

About this Plan

Life On Mission

Welcome to the Life on Mission devotional. We can often get overwhelmed with the demands of life and chaos of our world. We quickly forget that God has a mission for us while on earth. There are amazing things for you to see, do and accomplish and God empowers you to do all of them. This devotional is meant to get your life out of a rut and onto God’s mission for your life. Every third day there will be a “mission” for you to apply to your life. We’re God’s people, on a mission, to reflect his goodness to the entire world. Let’s do this!
