Seeing With God

DAY 2 OF 5

Let's start the day with our reminder:

Seeing what God desires to show you is not about having the gift of prophecy or another spiritual ability. Seeing what God offers is all about the simplicity of your relationship with Him. Friends share secrets with each other. God wants to show and tell you things that you haven't even imagined yet.

In Ephesians 1:17-18 (AMPC), Paul shares with the Ephesians that he prays to the Father about their ability to see. I love the Amplified Classic Version because it expounds on Paul's desire for the church to see:

"[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him. By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light..."

The Passion Translation is amazing as well:

"I pray that the Father of Glory, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would impart to you the riches of the Spirit of wisdom and the Spirit of revelation to know him through your deepening intimacy with him. I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hopes of his calling..."

The "eyes of your heart" or the seat of your imagination is a very precious space. Paul's prayers state that our imaginations or our ability to see from the heart give us insight into the secrets that God desires to reveal to His people. He shares his prayer for the saints to "know and understand" God's intentions toward us. I know this is a mouthful, but the bottom line is that believers have a right to SEE!! It is when the eyes of our imaginations are flooded with light that we are provoked into experiencing God and what He has called us to.

Allow these thoughts to settle into your heart today. Spend some time praying out Ephesians 1:17-19 in the Amplified Classic Version or in The Passion Translation. Ask God to open the eyes of your imagination and flood your heart with light!

About this Plan

Seeing With God

We often spend most of our prayer time listening for God's voice, but there is more! God wants to speak to us, but He also wants to show us some things as well. Open the eyes of your understanding and allow God to show you heaven's plans for your life. Are you ready to see what He sees about you?
