Grace Was There

DAY 4 OF 7

As we journey through the exchanges made for us at the cross, we find that our health and healing are also included in this beautiful exchange! Grace’s work would not be complete if, physically, we would still be under the curse and subject to sickness. Interestingly enough, Isaiah 53:5 is full of language that signifies substitution and exchange, when reading through it:

For “he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”

There was a divine exchange that took place for our spiritual healing on the cross, and when we take hold of it, the Holy Spirit is free to heal us on its behalf. God’s will was never to allow disease, sickness, and pain in the world, because in the Garden at creation they did not exist. Illness came about later under the curse, because of the fall. How grateful we are that Jesus took upon Himself our SICKNESS at calvary, so that we may receive His HEALTH.

Say these words with me: “In this moment, I visit the cross and the healing Jesus provided for me there. He was pierced for my transgressions, crushed for my iniquities and by His wounds I am healed. I receive the blessing of healing over my life and no longer walk under the curse of sickness and pain, but under His healing Grace. I am healthy and whole, in Jesus name.”
