1–2 Peter: A 10-Day Devotional Reading PlanSýnishorn
Waiting
Waiting—we all have to do it, sometimes for long periods of time. Peter assumes that we’re waiting in a spirit of expectation for Christ’s return when we’ll be taken to our forever home (v. 14). Waiting takes patience, of course, and that’s an attribute of God’s character that Peter highlighted this week. God is never in a hurry, whether it comes to his big overarching purposes for the world or to his purposes for our very own lives.
Reflection:
Is there something for which you’ve waited and prayed a long time? What from this week’s study encourages you in your waiting? Or has what we’ve studied this week changed your perspective on this long-held desire?
