Hello Baby, I Love You! Abc's for Young Moms

DAY 10 OF 27

I

is for Irritable

Take care of yourself and watch over your heart.

Sometimes we just need a little reset. When we are irritable, we can be snippy, unkind, and impatient especially when we are feeling run down and cranky. Find a way to take a time out. Even a quick prayer can be a help. Don't ignore what is going on inside. Don't shove your emotions down, lift your cares up to the Lord. Go to Him first, cry out to Him, and put your irritations, frustrations, and agitations in His hands. Then listen to Paul in Philippians 4:4! Rejoice in the Lord. Praise Him. This is the day the Lord has made. He has plans to do His work in the midst of your circumstances. He is near...He is very near.

When you have taken things to the Lord then do what you need to take care of yourself. You will be in a better place to tackle the toys lying about or soothe your crying baby once you've taken a few minutes to care for yourself. Even if you need to put your little one in the crib or bassinet and take a shower, light a candle, read a short encouraging devotional, have a snack, or put on some fun music!

Then, carry on! God is glorified in our weaknesses and He is present in them as well.

READ the SCRIPTURE

Each day you will be given a few Scriptures. May God give you encouragement, wisdom, and understanding.

RESPOND in WORSHIP

Worship the Lord with your heart, soul, mind, and with your life. Record your thoughts, observations, and prayers in your journal or on your Notes app on your phone.

Take the Truth to Heart: Choose one Scripture that the Lord is using to renew your mind and transform your heart today.

Ask yourself, what is God revealing to me through this Scripture?

Bring the Truth to Life: Think of ways you can practically apply this Scripture.
