Love as the Key to Racial Reconciliation

DAY 4 OF 7

Listen

Listen to stories of others who do not look like you. Start with that person who you initially asked “What can I do?” Invite them to lunch or coffee and be willing to humbly listen to their stories and experiences. Listen to their hearts. Be willing to vulnerably share your story, experiences, and heart.

These discussions take intentionality, a willingness to be uncomfortable, and a commitment to change. While listening, dig deeper into expanding your cultural competency and awareness.

One talk at a time, hearts, minds, and lives can change. This listening leads to community and unity.

About this Plan

Love as the Key to Racial Reconciliation

The tragic death of George Floyd sparked discussions about why are we still talking about race and racial injustice in 2020. In hope of finding a solution, and common ground after his death, many people raised this question, “What can I do?” This devotional will explain what you can do, and help you to prepare your heart and mind for love and, ultimately, racial reconciliation.
