The Hearts of Prophets and KingsSýnishorn
Gold, Frankincense & Myrrh
Wise men, from the East, felt it more than appropriate to present three gifts, with three very significant meanings, to welcome our King to the world.
“When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.”
Gold to signify royalty and rule in the Earth.
Frankincense to indicate sacred, holiness, and righteousness.
Myrrh to represent death.
Nothing was randomly selected but everything was intentionally set apart as a prophetic act. You see, they weren’t following the star to encounter an ordinary child. They were posturing themselves at the feet of their King and our King. They offered treasures of Earth to the very Lamb of God, and our Messiah. He was and is far from ordinary. He is our King of Kings, who is sacred, holy, and righteous. He is our Savior who conquered death, hell, and the grave.
He is the One with eyes like fire that burn with love for His creation
Final Thought
May we present our best gifts to our King, because He is Worthy.

About this Plan
The ancient Scriptures, written by the prophets of old, declare that the Word of God was indeed made flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus, the Christ, was the fulfillment of both the Law and the Prophets. This year, may we share His peace and declare goodwill toward all mankind!
