Walk Through The Bible 365 - MarchSýnishorn
Who’s The Greatest?
Pride and position seem so natural. Imagine in the middle of the hugely symbolic and intimate Passover meal, just after the cup and bread distribution, just before Jesus will be betrayed and killed - his followers are arguing about who's better than who! He's spent three years with them, but they still seem to be at 'square one' regarding servant leadership. Sound familiar?
Prayer: Dear Lord, I confess it's so easy to look for advantage and recognition, and so difficult to take a secondary role. Too often I prefer to be first, not last, and I admit I'm not always comfortable with the upside-down Kingdom world. But I'm willing to learn and be taught by you. Make me your humble follower and servant. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
