Hope Devotional In ASLSýnishorn
What is your favorite season? Mine is fall. I love the cool weather, longer nights, going to the fair, and reading books outside. During the winter, I get impatient with the cold, dark weather. I want summer NOW! I’ve often wondered what it would be like to live in a place where it was fall all year round. I’m sure I would grow bored of fall. In order for me to enjoy the fall, I must go through the winter. That’s how we need to look at our situations and sufferings we go through. We may not like the current season we are in, but there is hope. The Lord will show us His goodness and faithfulness to us when the summer comes. He is only testing our patience and faith to His timing, His will.
Like it says in James 5:7-8, “see how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop…” Sometimes the best thing for us to do in our season of hardship is to be still. There is hope in knowing that we don't face our trials alone, the Lord is with us always. His timing is perfect.
Challenge: During your trying seasons, make a list of all the good God is showing you. What is God teaching you in your current season?
