Refresh Your Marriage in 31 Days

DAY 6 OF 31

"You fascinate me"

Three things that make a home unbearable for an Arab: a leaking roof, a cockroach invasion and a nagging wife.

It is very cool to thank your husband for patching up the drainpipe. It should not be taken for granted.
It is especially cool, to thank your wife who has organised an afternoon program for the kids. It should not be taken for granted. Nothing should be taken for granted. There is an estimated 7635 reasons to thank your partner daily. It is just a pity that they are too often overshadowed by the negative aspects of the partner.

At the ripe old age of 85, an acquaintance of ours decided to voice his gratitude more than his negative thoughts. He does this in a very practical way. In the morning, he swallows a Smarties thankfulness pill: “Thank you, God, that I’m alive!” At night he repeats the whole ritual: “Thank you, God, for everything I have experienced.” Wonderful!

MARRIAGE-BOOSTER
Thank God every day for your partner.
At least twice a day, thank your partner for whatever until you are both 85. If you’re both still alive then, it’s time to increase the dosage to at least three times per day.
