Innovating in an Isolated World

DAY 2 OF 6

DAY 2 - God has Called You to Make a Difference

God wants to give us fresh vision for this season. But we need to ask ourselves if we are open to God doing a new thing in our lives?

No one said that living an extraordinary life would be easy. But it sure is worthwhile. If we want to live in the blessing that God has for us, we need to refuse to settle for what the world says and become determined to have what God says instead.

We can limit this extraordinary life that God has for us by our negative talking and small thinking. It can be so easy to forget the things God has done for us in the past, that we can start talking about what we see instead of what His Word says.

God has given us different lives and different purposes. The lives we live, the neighbourhoods we are in and the people we surround ourselves with are different. In the same way, we shouldn’t compare ourselves to others who have different callings. We must know for ourselves that we are unique and we lead in different ways.

God has called each of us. We can establish the call of God through our daily connection with Him. This is why the Word tells us that we need to be transformed by the renewing of the mind.

But calling starts with action.  So often we can hear God’s word, but we don’t allow it to change us. God wants to give us new ideas, but ultimately, it is our choice.

Questions:

(1) What are the distractions that are preventing you from hearing the voice of God?

(2) What is the ‘extraordinary’ life that God is calling you to live?

About this Plan

Innovating in an Isolated World

A 6-day study from the Hillsong Young Adults program 'The Neighbourhood' looking at how we can innovate in an isolated world. Whether we are in our careers, our studies or our day-to-day living, God has a unique purpose for us. This plan was written by one of our incredible Young Adult leaders, Sym Yeow.
