Cry Out

DAY 7 OF 7

POWER POINT #7. "Whoever is wise, let him heed these things and consider the great love of the Lord." Psalm 107:43

On this final day, take time to think about the unfailing love of God. Despite our sinful, selfish, and stubborn ways, God loves us—every single one of us. There is no one too far beyond his reach. There is nothing we can do or say to make God love us more, and there is nothing we can do or say to cause God to love us less.

He loves the wanderers, the rebellious, the wicked, and the needy; and he loves those without courage and those living in darkness. He is simply waiting for us to call out to him so that he can lead us to a purposeful life—full of hope, love, and joy.

God is our Savior, but he is not an intruder. He calls out to us, he even knocks on the door of our heart and bestows us the responsibility to respond. By faith we can receive his grace and trust in his ways; or, we can ignore him. He has given us free will, and the power of life and death rests within our choice.

If you have placed your trust in Jesus as your Savior, write your own prayer thanking God for his great love that has pulled you out of your situation and into his redeeming arms of grace and mercy!

If you are calling out to God for the first time today and asking him to be your Savior, pray aloud: Dear God, I am a sinner. Please forgive me for all my mistakes. I need you, and today I surrender my life to you. I cry out for you to save me from my distress and to rescue me from eternity in Hell. Thank you for sending your son, Jesus, to pay the price for my sins by dying on the cross. Because of His innocent blood and His resurrection from the grave, I can experience new life and spend forever in Heaven with you. I believe Jesus is alive and I invite Jesus into my heart today. I am choosing to make Jesus the Lord of my life! Thank you for your great love for me! I ask you to lead me and guide me in your ways. Amen.

That's it. All of heaven is rejoicing! You are now a child of God! Your sins are removed from your record and your name is written in the Book of Life. New life awaits! Tell someone about your decision today, and begin reading the Bible as God's guide for moving forward. (The book of John in the New Testament is a good starting place.)

About this Plan

Cry Out

God wants to heal and rescue us. His great love has the power to pull us from where we are and place us on the path of promise. In this 7-day devotional, we will look at groups of hurting people that God saves, redeems, and blesses. God's transforming love is as available today as it was centuries ago. He is simply waiting for us to cry out to him.
