From Crisis to Breakthrough: Reimagining Your Work

DAY 7 OF 7

Your Breakthrough Action Plan

When crisis hits, believers have a huge advantage: we are more than conquerors in Christ. God promises to never leave us, nor forsake us. In fact, He has created us and placed us here for exactly this time because each of us has a part to play in fulfilling God’s purpose.

We have an enemy who will do everything in his power to distract us with his lies and tactics. But we have the Holy Spirit in us, and He is greater than our enemy. We must lean on our faith to stay strong and move into the breakthrough that God has prepared for us.

Here is a review of the steps we went through over the last six days:

  1. Right mindset - Give yourself time to grieve and seek God, knowing He will help you and turn things around for good.
  2. Understand reality - Assess the situation so you avoid the trap of blowing it out of proportion or underestimating what’s needed.
  3. Imagine a new reality - Be prepared to let go of what you think should be and allow God to show you the new thing He is doing.
  4. Boldly have tough conversations - Address issues head on by speaking the truth in love.
  5. Guard your thoughts - Be proactive about your emotional and mental health. When something triggers you, move, name it, pray, and trust God.
  6. Focus on the main thing - Turn to God’s Word and prayer, keeping your eyes fixed on Jesus.

Take out a notebook or journal and create your own action plan by answering these questions.

  1. Where is God preparing you for a breakthrough?
  2. What new thing does God want to do through you?
  3. What one or two steps can you take right now to move toward your breakthrough?
  4. Who can you ask to support you?

Prayer

Father God, thank You that in Christ I am more than a conqueror. No weapon formed against me will prevail. God, show me what You want to do in and through this situation. Give me eyes to see and ears to hear so that I can join You where You’re working to bring about a breakthrough in my work and life. May it be for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.
