The Church has Left the Building

DAY 3 OF 7

I am sure this season in your life is ridiculous. You and I are trying to find our new normal. Our budgets are different. Anyone else spending more money on groceries lately? Our relationships with our kids and spouse look different. Our kids haven’t been seeing their grandparents as much lately. Our mornings are different. We don’t have to rush out of the house, making sure our kids get to school on time right now. My rhythms are different. They are out of sync. My mornings seem lost now with no urgency. And we are all asking ourselves, “When will this season end?”

Paul goes back to one of his original statements and concepts, “Be strong!” Remember all that Jesus has done for you. Remember all that Jesus has taught you. Remember how good He is and how good He has been to you. You are a soldier for Jesus. You are part of a great army. But you probably feel more isolated and alone now more than ever. You are an army of 1, or 3, or 7 if you have a big family. We cannot take a break from the fight we are in for the souls of people that live in our neighborhood.

The Church has left the building. Please, please, PLEASE do not disown your faith. Just because the church isn’t meeting in a building, doesn’t mean that we don’t have a mission to accomplish. We still have a specific call on our lives. Be the Church. Don’t just ask people to come to church. Leave the church on mission to make Jesus famous.

About this Plan

The Church has Left the Building

Do we want to look back at our time in history and watch Christianity fall by the wayside? Do we want our generation to be known throughout all of history as the generation who was overtaken? It is our responsibility to step up, take action, and lead the NOW generation into the future. We don’t want Christianity to begin dying on our watch.
