Staying Focused in Uncertain TimesSýnishorn
Title: Focus on Rest
Sometimes God asks us to take an active role in what He is doing. And other times, God asks us to focus our attention on resting in Him and waiting on Him.
For example, in Psalm 27:13-14, it says this:
"I remain confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord."
And in Psalm 37:7-9, we're reminded of this truth:
"Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
do not fret—it leads only to evil.
For those who are evil will be destroyed,
but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land."
And although, in some ways, waiting may seem like "being lazy." In my experience, it's one of the hardest actions for us to take in our spiritual walk. However, it can--and does--yield great fruit because rest is a show of our true dependence on and trust in God.
God is the one who we want to have at the center of our focus. To learn more about a God-centered approach to time management, you may want to check out my book "Divine Time Management: The Joy of Trusting God's Loving Plans for You." Find out more at www.DivineTimeBook.com
