Children of the King

DAY 2 OF 3

The family of God connects all believers through faith. That means as you walk through your Christian faith, you will have spiritual brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, and perhaps, even, sons and daughters.

Every believer is a part of this family of faith, therefore, they can be considered your brother or sister. Ideally, you and your brothers and sisters will be able to mutually and lovingly remind each other of your Heavenly Father’s goodness.

As you progress in your faith, you should find a mentor who can help disciple you towards maturity in Christ. He or she will become like a father or mother to you in the faith. You will be able to depend on them during difficult circumstances, learn from them when you have questions, and grow deeper in obedience and awe of God because of this person.

At some point, God will lay a burden on your heart for a younger believer or perhaps, someone who is not a believer at all. The Holy Spirit will be with you as you disciple or evangelize this person into a deeper relationship with God. Take joy that you will have made sons or daughters in the faith!

Spend some time today considering the members of God’s family you have in your life! How can you point each other back to the love of the Father today?

About this Plan

Children of the King

Christians must acknowledge their role as a Son or Daughter to the King of Kings. To live out of that identity is much more difficult. This 3-day study invites you to a relationship with God, your Father as a son or daughter so you can begin leading others to share in that identity with you forever. Are you ready to meet the Father?
