What Do You Treasure?Sýnishorn
Shift Your Focus.
“But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” Psalms 1:2 KJV
Meditate on His Word. Focus on His Word. Let His Word order your steps. Choose to surrender every area of your heart over to His Word. Let your heart and life be led by His Word. Psalms 119:15 KJV declares, “I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.”
According to Strong’s Concordance, the Hebrew word for “Meditate” is, ‘siyach’ (H7878) which means, “To put forth, commune, speak, study, ponder, to talk, sing, consider, put forth thoughts.” Choose to meditate on His Word. Choose to deliberately set the Word of God at the forefront of your mind. Choose to study and to ponder on His Word day and night.
Consider and treasure His Word in every season of life. Shift your focus on His Word and you will not go astray. Joshua 1:8 KJV declares, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
Treasure Christ more than the things of this world. Galatians 5:1 KJV declares, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” Don’t let your heart become entangled in the things of this world. Christ is greater than the entanglement and bondage of this world. Don’t let the love or lust for temporal things derail your focus.
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15 KJV
