The Great Surrender

DAY 1 OF 5

TOTAL SURRENDER

God is calling you to totally surrender all that you are and all that you have. Surrender is not what you do for God. Surrender is the giving away of your whole heart. It is the release of your will and desires.

In Jeremiah 18:1-6, Jeremiah is called to the potter’s house and he sees clay being marred in the hands of the potter. The clay is being shaped and moulded as it seems good to the potter and God asks,

“O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.” Jeremiah 18:6 NLT

That’s the question that is being asked to you today. Will you let God shape and mould you the way He desires? Will you surrender that which seems good to you, so the Father can give you what He knows is good for you?

Surrender doesn’t always feel great, it isn’t always comfortable, but it is necessary. God is good and everything He does in us is for our good.

Surrender always precedes anything great. Surrender requires humility, faith and trust that God is able do something special with who you are and what you have.

Prayer

Ask God to mould and shape you the way He desires.
