Good Kings Establish StabilitySýnishorn
A Just King Brings Stability.
“The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it.” Proverbs 29:4 KJV
Proverbs 29:4 MSG declares, “A leader of good judgment gives stability; an exploiting leader leaves a trail of waste.” What type of leader are you? A good king provides stability. A good king brings peace. A good king establishes success. Whether you’re leading a family, a country, a city, a community or an organization — your leadership, character and integrity matters.
Good kings establish a path of generational success, peace and productivity. Wicked leaders strip the people and exploit the resources underneath their stewardship. What type of leader are you? A good king establishes a pathway and a pattern of success. A wicked king strips.
A good king empowers. A wicked king is self-centered. A good king leads by example and delegates authority. A poor king is selfish and does not give others the opportunity to lead. Lead by example. Give others the opportunity to lead. Share the stage. Share the platform. Share the opportunity. A good king establishes the land and makes others successful around him or her.
Proverbs 29:4 NIV declares, “By justice a king gives a country stability, but those who are greedy for bribes tear it down.” Are you greedy? Are you selfish? Are you self serving? Choose to surrender your gifts to God and sow into others. Choose to build up others. Empower others through your example. Follow Christ and let His light shine through your character, talent and abilities.
Greed suffocates success. Share the stage. Share the platform. Let the heart of God shine through the work of your hands. When God graces you with a platform, it’s your responsibility to steward well what He gives you. The people and resources underneath your authority are gifts from God. Let God shine through your leadership. Leadership is a gift.
Proverbs 29:4 NLT declares, “A just king gives stability to his nation, but one who demands bribes destroys it.” A just king or a righteous leader brings stability to the nation, business, ministry, school or organization that they’re leading. Whatever field you’re called to lead — choose to lead with integrity, honor, diligence and character.
Let God’s light shine through the work of your hands. Let God’s light shine through your oversight and governance. Whether you’re a husband leading your family — lead with Christ-like integrity, loyalty and compassion. Whether you’re a businessman or a businesswoman — lead and handle your business affairs with character. Lead your employees with diligence and care.
Serve and surrender your gifts to the Lord. Good kings bring stability to their environment. Choose to lead others with the heart of Christ. Choose to reflect Him in everything that you say and do.
