Find Your Hope

DAY 3 OF 7

NOT FORGOTTEN

Have you ever felt forgotten? Ever been that kid who was left until last, when the team was being picked? The one overlooked when the popular, confident, better-looking ones got chosen for the important roles? Felt like everybody else was getting promotions while your career was stagnant? Or watched as your friends were all achieving their life goals while you were still waiting for your life to start?

Take heart. God does not forget you. He does not overlook you. He is intimately aware of every detail of your life. He sees and knows your dreams and talents, your secret wishes and unique ways, and He values it all. Even the dark things that you would rather nobody knew: God knows them too, and in His mercy loves you regardless.

In Chapter 49 of Isaiah, God’s people are feeling forgotten; but God is reassuring them that just as a mother never forgets her babies, He never forgets His children either. I love Psalm 139 in The Passion Translation. The writer is deeply encouraged by the intimate way that God knows and sees us: ‘You are so intimately aware of me, Lord… You know every step I will take before my journey even begins… Your understanding of me brings me wonder and strength’ (Psalm 139:4–6).

God is aware of your life and is at work on your behalf. Pray and thank Him for this. Let it settle and strengthen your heart today.

About this Plan

Find Your Hope

Hope is a word we all throw around a lot: hope you get better soon, hope you’re well. At Hope 103.2, it’s said hundreds of times on air every day. Yet what’s contained in this short word is a big deal. When life gets tough and we find ourselves losing our hope - God reminds us that we can put our hope in Him.
