It’s Not What It Looks Like!
It’s not what it looks like! The natural realm is so engulfing at times that we forget the realm we live in is inferior to the realm of the Spirit. Ephesians 6:12 says, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, the authorities, against the powers of the dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” In order to step out in faith, we have to remove our natural circumstances from our eyes and fasten our gaze onto Jesus. The enemy wants to distract us with things in the natural but God is inviting us to come up higher! Arise to the perspective of heaven, take your seat at the right hand of Jesus.
In 2 Chronicles 20, we see King Jehoshaphat facing a major battle. As he sought the Lord, as to what they should do, the Lord said, “You will not have to fight this battle.” King Jehoshaphat then urged his people, “Have faith in the Lord your God and you will be upheld.” Then, as the King and his people sang and praised, the Lord set ambushes against the enemy!
Can you believe that? In the natural, this victory was impossible. To the naked eye, approaching a vast army with a song and praise seems outrageous. However, their praise and faith catapulted them into their victory. What did King Jehoshaphat tell his people? Have faith in the Lord and you will be upheld! Capture this truth in your life as well. Have faith in the Lord and you will be upheld!
This is the Word of the Lord for you! You don’t have to strive or wrestle any longer. Rest is your weapon. Lay all of your worries, insecurities, and fears on the altar. There is an invitation with your name written on it from the Holy Spirit to lay down striving and rest on His promises! Come up a little higher and see with a heavenly perspective. The victory is yours!
