You Are No AccidentSýnishorn
For A Time Such As This
Are you in a place where you are avoiding what you know you should be doing? Esther had a choice to make.
Esther had risen to the powerful position of being the queen of Persia. She could have rested on her laurels and settled into her comfortable position. But she didn't.
There arose a crisis in the land, involving her people, the Jews. A royal edict had been issued to have all the Jews in the land, annihilated. She was called upon by Mordecai her cousin, to use her position and good offices to appeal to the King on behalf of her people. It was not an easy call. Choosing to act, for Esther, could even mean danger to her own life. But she did not shy away, she chose to act. She chose to use her position and power to be a blessing to her people.
What is God calling you to do today? Remember there are no accidents in God's plan. All of life's circumstances, the talents you have, are given for a purpose. The purpose is, to be used by the Lord for His glory and purposes. What has the Lord been burdening your heart with? What opportunities to serve Him have you been pretending not to hear or understand?
The Lord can achieve His purposes with or without you and me. He can raise up relief and deliverance for His people from many other places. Yet it is your privilege and mine to be used of the Lord. Would you respond to the call He is laying on your life today?
Who knows whether you have been brought to this world and this stage in life, for a time such as this?
Give me Lord a heart that is sensitive to Your leading and obedient to Your calling, I pray.
