Release To Realise Your Destiny

DAY 2 OF 3

 IMAGE DAMAGE

Most people assume image is just an external visualization of our appearance. The truth is that image is more than what we see of  ourselves in the mirror or even a perception of ourselves which the world describes as self-image.

God gave us his very own image (Genesis 1:6) so that restored by Christ ( 2 Cor 5:17) we may walk about in communion with him, confidant within and having authority over every situation in life.

When we view ourselves, we must cease to identify with our frailties and fallenness. We must identify with the Christ living in us!

The consequence of not walking in true awareness of our God-likeness is very expensive!

The List can be endless…

· We will fail to appropriate the promises of God for our lives as we limit our growth to our own potential

· We will hinder the work of God to expand our vision as we walk by our limited reasonings

· We can never recognize or exercise the spiritual gifts that God has given to us

· We will never be able to exhibit spiritual fruits as we will be frustrated all the time

· We will always try to save our face or appearance as we feel empty on the inside

· We will never feel worthy to receive God’s grace and miss ministering of Holy spirit

· We will find ourselves constantly making wrong decisions and struggling to walk out of it

· We may even end up falling into more sin as we lose confidence in ourselves to walk in truth

· We will always be a receiver not a giver, running from one source of comfort or counsel into another

"Lord, please help me to value myself as You value me— as chosen, royal, and set apart from the world and designated to have power, authority, and rulership over all situations in Christ. I receive the peace and humility of Christ within me to be able to walk tall and confidently."

It is indeed very sad when a restored and redeemed believer continues to devalue himself.
