Faith Is For Weak People By Ray ComfortSýnishorn
Ready Yourself
Statistics tell us that not many Christians share their faith. Yet, the matter of eternal salvation is so important that we must endeavor to remove every obstacle and every misunderstanding that keeps a lost soul from recognizing Jesus as Savior. That’s what this devotional is about. Helping you share your faith with a dying world.
There are many stumbling blocks on both sides. As Christians, we love the lost and don’t want anything to hinder a dying world from coming to Jesus Christ. But we are afraid of looking foolish, lack confidence to risk, and need to grow in our knowledge of God’s Word. On the side of unbelief, there are many important questions whose unidentifiable answers keep some from placing their faith in Jesus. We are going to ask the hard questions and provide a beautiful defense of Scripture and truth.
All of humankind is in need of a Savior but many are blind to this reality. That Savior is Jesus. You will encounter people with mountains of greed or bitterness or pride. Many have legitimate questions. For others, there is a great valley between them and God. They are going through the depths of suffering, pain, or disease. They live in the quiet despair of hopelessness.
With the help of God, we can bring the mountains low and fill the valleys high. There is an effective and biblical way to reach the proud, awaken the complacent, and bring a living hope to the humble. God hasn’t left us helpless in these important issues.
You are reading about the subject of apologetics, so I believe you want to be effective in sharing the gospel cure. I also trust you’ve had the sobering realization that a person who doesn’t come to Christ is separated from God. Forever. Hell exists (Matthew 10:28).
Our hope is to see people saved from the just wrath of a holy God by being clothed with the righteousness of Jesus Christ: “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21). If we lose sight of this goal, we reduce the church to a social club of well-meaning do-gooders. Those perishing need more. They need the truth of Jesus Christ to rescue and set them free.
Is it hard for you to share your faith with someone who doesn’t serve Jesus as their Lord and Savior? Ask God for a new attitude and perspective in how you share the hope of His love to a dying world.

About this Plan
If you are like many Christians, it’s hard to share your faith. Fear, lack of knowledge, and perhaps uncertainty keep you quiet more than not. As an apologist and evangelist, I’ve spent my entire career sharing the faith and answering people's objections. This week, we’ll learn to do the same. With honest conversations, God’s Word, and a heart for the lost, we will reach in love those who are perishing.
