21 Days To Cultivate A Grateful Heart

DAY 3 OF 21

Day 3: The Foundation of Gratitude

All of these words individually and interchangeably describe what the overflow from a heart of gratitude looks like.

Give Thanks

Sing to Him

Sing Praise

Tell of His Wonderous Acts

Rejoice

Declare His Glory

Proclaim His Salvation Day After Day

Bring an Offering to Him

Worship the Lord

Give Thanks to the Lord

Remember the Wonders He Has Done

Ascribe to the Lord Glory and Strength

When we are cultivating a grateful heart, we can give thanks, praise Him, proclaim to the broken world around us the truth about our God, remember all that He has done and give Him the glory due.

REFLECT: Which of the words from the list come easily for you? Worship? Singing Praises? Which ones are more difficult? Remembering the Wonders He has done?

RESPOND: Today we are going to “tell of His wonderous acts”. Grab your journal or notebook and write five (or more) wonderous acts that God has done in your life recently. A wonderous act can be how He provided in a time of need, someone He used to impact you or your family’s life, how He protected you or someone you love, or anything else that made you go “Wow, God”. Remember, what is a big deal to you might not seem like a big deal, but it is. If it matters to you, it matters to God. As you pray today, pray those things back to Him as an offering.

About this Plan

21 Days To Cultivate A Grateful Heart

Gratitude is contagious and as you practice living thankfully, you give others permission to be thankful too. You will take the next 21 days to celebrate the good things in your life, shift your focus from what you think is missing in your life to the blessings that are right in front of you and share the faithfulness of God with those around you.
