Sex: Design. Distortion. Redemption.

DAY 12 OF 12

Remember:

  1. We live in a constant state of tension. As believers of Jesus Christ, we have been given the Holy Spirit to live inside of us. The desires of the Spirit are at war against the desires of our flesh.
  2. God did not create us to live life in isolation from others. We are meant to link arms with other Christians as we run toward Christ, fleeing the sinful passions of our flesh and pursuing holiness together.
  3. Bearing the title “Christian” does not mean we are expected to be perfect like Jesus. In Christ we are completely forgiven, justified, and are on a journey of sanctification to become more like Him. As we continually confess and repent of our sins, God is faithful to cleanse us of all unrighteousness.

Pray:

Heavenly Father, You are the Redeemer of our souls. You have given us a Spirit of power, love, and self-control. I confess that I try to figure out how to manage my sins all on my own- apart from Your Spirit’s help and my community. Thank You for being faithful to forgive me. Thank You that Your grace is sufficient for me. Thank You for surrounding me with people to run hard after Jesus with. Help me to trust You more in this journey of sanctification. Amen.

Memorize:

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” -1 John 1:9

About this Plan

Sex: Design. Distortion. Redemption.

God designed people as physical, emotional, and spiritual beings. In this reading plan, we want to better understand human sexuality from God’s Design, to the Distortions we encounter, and the Redemption we can experience.
