Ask, Seek, Knock: The Promise Of Matthew 7Sýnishorn
SEEK
There’s a reason many of us are so hesitant to ask, seek, and knock.
We’ve been let down before.
God has let us down before.
That’s not something you’ll hear many Christians say aloud. Who would want to admit that? What kind of testimony does that give others, especially non-believers?
If I have learned anything in my walk with Christ, it’s that brutal honesty is always the best policy.
God responds to honest pain much more than empty praise.
My view of God hasn’t always been good, but as it transformed – my life transformed along with it.
To seek is not merely the “act” of finding something. It means to “attempt to find”.
On your journey to the greater things God has for you, there are going to be seasons of detours and rerouting. There are going to be troubling bumps in the road, ones that might even leave you with a flat tire.
But through it all, God has laid out this simple promise: “the one who seeks finds.”
If you seek God, you will find Him.
If you keep going, you will reach Him.
If you don’t stop attempting, your success will always, eventually be guaranteed.
So put aside your hesitation.
Today is another attempt.
Today, you are one step closer.
