DAY THREE: Regain the Joy of Serving God
How have you reacted in the past upon discovering your cutting edge was missing, when the prayer closet was no longer compelling and praise became a chore?
When the young apprentice found Elisha, he was confronted with a question that contained a profound truth. “The man of God said, ‘Where did it fall?’” (2 Kings 6:6). With that question, Elisha revealed this incredible truth: “You’ll find it where you lost it.”
At some point, one has to take a spiritual inventory. What were you doing when you noticed something was missing in your life? Were your habits hindering your productivity? Was the company you were keeping displeasing the Lord?
There’s something that can be “thrown” into the depths of your circumstances that can resurrect your anointing. It’s the cross of Christ.
When was the last time you pitched the cross into the depths of your problem? That old piece of wood has been restoring and bringing things to the surface for a long time. I have good news for you today—your gift is about to resurface, and when it does, you must get a new grip on it. Attach it to your life once again, keep it sharp, and complete the work the Father has given you to do.
