Around The World: Making A Global Impact Overseas

DAY 3 OF 5

Living Out God’s Kingdom on Earth in Strategic Places

Injustice rears its ugly head wherever the light of Jesus does not shine so bright. True freedom in social arenas only comes when people operate under the reign and rule of God, in the way he intended. Social injustice is often tied to the same issues that cause systemic material poverty—and to a damaged worldview not based on the Bible.

Most of the unreached world, where majority Muslim, Hindu, and Buddhist peoples live, struggle with social justice and poverty issues as a way of life.

If we make disciples of Jesus Christ in a country that does not operate on biblical principles, we will combat social injustice here on earth, as it is in heaven. When communities of new believers regularly meet to worship God, hold each other accountable, and read and obey scripture, we pray they will also have courage to stand up and shout out that women should not be sold as slaves, minorities should not be attacked, refugees should not be abandoned, and unborn babies should not be killed.

If the kingdom of God—the way God intends for the world to be—comes to a people group, it will start like a mustard seed and grow generously into a wide tree where even birds can find shelter.

But it takes someone with the seed of the Kingdom to go there, to live there, to learn their language and culture.

God may be asking you to humbly and creatively consider investing your life and profession for his purposes in another nation that would never have the chance to experience Jesus Christ and his Kingdom.

Because when the kingdom of God, the way God intends for the world to be, comes to a people group women will start to be valued, the wealthy will begin to share with the poor, orphans will be brought into homes, and the peace Jesus Christ offers will stem hatred, fighting, and war. While evil will war against good until Jesus returns, communities of people following the ways of Jesus can influence the fabric of entire countries.
