Fear Is a Liar Devotional by Zach WilliamsSýnishorn
Day 7: Today’s lie: You could be the one that grace could never change.
Author Max Lucado says, “God answers the mess of life with one word: ‘grace.’” I don’t think anyone in the world would be able to say that life isn’t messy and that sometimes we make those messes ourselves.
We can easily fall into the trap of feeling like there are only so many times that God can forgive us or that there is a threshold for grace and we’ve definitely reached it. Unfortunately, that is what the world around us tells us. Grace, love, and forgiveness, according to the world, are conditional. They must be earned and aren't given freely. The sacrifice that God made by sending His son to die paid that price and because of that, grace is freely given to us. We are never too far gone for grace.
Our hearts are the dwelling place for God. 1 Corinthians 3:16 (ESV) says, “Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?” If God is in us and with us, we are not too dirty and we are not too hardened. We are the dwelling place of God! Grace can change our hearts and bring us closer to Him than we’ve ever felt. We may not feel like we deserve it, and we don’t, but Jesus paid that price and because of that, we have freedom to live a fresh start. Don’t let the lies told to you about how you’ll never be able to change and that you don’t deserve grace hold you back from living in the beautiful freedom and peace available to you through Jesus.

About this Plan
The song "Fear Is a Liar" talks about many fears that the enemy tells us and how they are lies meant to keep us away from a relationship with God. The Fear is a Liar Devotional walks through seven different fears that we're told and how the word of God disproves those and helps us combat them. Thank you for joining me. -Zach Williams
