DAY TWO: TELLING YOUR STORY
“I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, Sovereign Lord; I will proclaim your righteous deeds.” Psalm 71:16
LISTEN
Chasing love, having fun and making money started to leave Ayanda empty. Though not a believer, she opened a Bible and read a passage that said God loved her. Deeply moved, she trusted Christ for the first time, there and then. Peace flooded her heart. Minutes later, she received a text message: Trust in God, he will be there for you. Her new faith was so encouraged! She didn’t know whose number it was, so she phoned back. To her surprise it was a complete stranger. He said, ‘I was praying and an unknown number, your number, came into my head.’
This true story is a God-story! You too have a story to tell of God’s goodness in your life. He has your number.

LEARN
Paul tells his God-story to some not-yet-believers. What can you learn from him about how to share your story?
· First, tell people a little about the way your life was before you trusted Christ (v1-5)
· Second, explain the events that led up to your becoming a follower of Jesus (v6-11)
· Finally, tell them how your life has changed since then (v12-16).
Never feel like your experience of God is not radical enough. Some people, like Paul and Ayanda, meet God powerfully, but most of us meet him less dramatically.
Has God made himself real to you? Has he forgiven or freed you? Has he given you peace or joy or hope? Did he answer your prayer? Did he heal your broken heart?
Simply share your story:
If it’s real, people will be impacted by it.
Live
· Practice telling your God-story by writing it down or by telling a Christian friend. Ask yourself:
What was my life like before?
What happened to change it?
What’s my life like now?
· Ask God for an opportunity to share your God-story.
