Psalm 1 - A Foundation To Your Christian LifeSýnishorn
Living with God means going against the tide!
I would like to share a thought with you that is fundamental to our lives. It’s from Psalm 1…
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful.” (the Bible, Psalm 1:1)
This verse teaches us about the Christian life, about what it shouldn’t be. The psalmist highlights a progression here: walking, standing, and sitting. It’s a negative progression that leads to stagnation and sin.
The Christian life is truly a walk, even a race. And the race God invites you to is built on the opposite model:
- You heard God’s divine call when you were among those who mocked Him.
- You stood up to follow Him.
- You started walking in His footsteps from then on out!
I encourage you to pursue your walk with God, even if it means going against the tide of this world’s reasoning, the way our society operates. Following Christ means deciding to think and live differently. It requires sacrifice, but it’s worth it!
Persevere in life with God, and if you stand in the path of sinners, it doesn’t have to stay that way! Get up, walk away from the bench where you were sitting, and by God’s grace, start moving forward again in your walk.
May the Lord lift you up for His glory, mighty man or woman of valor!
Thanks for existing!
