Passionate: Finding Purpose In Your PassionSýnishorn
One of the greatest qualities about passion is that it is genuine. You cannot fake it. Your passion is yours.
Yet too often do people see a successful individual, and attempt to duplicate their life. If you are relying on other people to instill a passion within you, you will fail. God has already instilled a unique passion in you, that was made for you personally. He has set a divine appointment for you to find out what your true passion is, and how you can put it to use.
The question is, will you show up?
Passions are often emulated, but never truly duplicated. You can tell others that you want to do this, or you want to do that, but the fact of the matter is that if your “passion” does not fire you up, get you out of bed, keep you up at night, and take your breath away at the mere thought of it, then it probably is not your passion.
Hobbies are things you do for fun. Passion is something that you do because you have to. It is a part of you. We do not choose our passion, we find it.
Close your eyes and envision the ideal life for you. What does it look like? What are you doing? If money was no longer an issue, what would you spend your time on?
That is your passion.
If your passion is working as a mechanic, then go do it. If it is teaching, then become a teacher.
If it is spreading the word, then start spreading it. Counseling others, building houses, all of these passions are needed in this world. Life is too short to wonder “what if?”
Passion is the biggest motivator within our lives. Above money. Above fame. Above cars and mansions. A life lived without passion is no life at all. Passion is what keeps you going when everything around you starts to crumble. God-given passion. It is perhaps the greatest gift that God bestows on humans. The sense that I can live a life that was well-lived, and that I could spend my time doing something that brings me true happiness.
You cannot put a price on passion.
