DAY 4 OF 6

CONFIDENTLY SINGLE

Confidence is defined as having full belief, trust, reliance and assurance. Our aim is to exemplify daily confidence in Christ in every area and aspect of our lives including singleness.

When one doesn’t have the full belief that Jehovah Jireh will come through in blessing them trust, reliance and the assurance of expectations are null and void. Somewhere down the line one’s confidence in God’s promises for their lives turned to distrust, fear and uncertainty.

Focusing on the distractive noises of this world instead of God’s promises in faith can cause one to abandon God-honoring confidence.

God is an on-time God regarding every stage of life and even if you’ve been single waiting on the promise of marriage that God gave you to be fulfilled don’t lose that full belief, trust, reliance and full assurance of God.

God has and will never let you down and He will watch over His word to perform it.

People might negatively distort and magnify your single state of God-honoring purity and begin to mock you to others stating that you are an

 “outcast”,

 “you lack relational worldly experiences”

“your singleness and God-honoring values mean that you don’t want a family”

“you are pitiful”

 “you lack communication skills”

“you have unrealistic Godly standards for courting and meeting new people”,

“it’s your fault you are single because you won’t yoke with an unbeliever and give them a try, they really like you” and the list goes on.

But when you purposefully guard your heart, walking away from fruitless confident zappers and daily make the habit in renewing your mind in Christ’s confidence your zeal and confidence in Christ will return and abound in your life.

Confidence is in Christ alone, not a relationship. People will intentionally or unintentionally miss the mark and let us down but God will never let you down.  At one time in my life I viewed singleness as me missing out and I was less than all because of distorted distractions I frequently entertained.

I allowed lies to impede my confidence which were fed by jealous cantankerous people who mocked me because I aimed to live a God-honoring lifestyle. I woke up repented and intentionally chose to live Confidently in Christ, demolishing every lie with God’s word. Don’t allow the words of others make you feel less than, God’s word says you are MORE THAN.
